The #Nader and #Perot campaigns were doomed from the outset, in other words. Either candidate could have been far more popular than the D *and* R on the ballot, and they still would have lost. It's how the deck is stacked, and to unstack it, reformers would need to take charge of at least one - and probably both - of the parties.

Je verzetten tegen het #systeem doe je niet alleen door de straat op te gaan, maar de zwakheden ook daadwerkelijk aan te pakken. Daarvoor moet je in boeken, rapporten en statistieken duiken.
Je moet echter wel waken dat je daar niet in doorschiet.

#Monsanto is owned by a German #biotech (Bayer AG) and they’d be the biggest corporate beneficiary of the US position. This is the type of issue that causes some of the left to become dismayed by the #democrats. You expect this from the #republicans. This was a big issue for #Nader in 2000. Organic food becomes difficult in an area saturated by GM seed ( wind, etc). Mexico is right to abide by the Precautionary Principle and protect their natural corn crop.
