I am trying to put the whole plugin thing into a standard like document at https://github.com/monitoring-plugins/monitoring-plugin-guidelines
It would be great if some people could review if that reflects the current state of the topic.
If that's the case, a 1.0 can be released and maybe start with some extensions.
