That was followed by FAR FROM THE NILE, a group of musicians from all 11 of the countries touching the Nile, go on tour to show audiences that collaboration, like what they are doing, can help solve the water crisis. They are looking for festivals or places that would like to see the film.

The 2 sets of griots served as a Greek chorus in the film. Very interesting.

From there we went to MY GRANDFATHER WAS AN EMPEROR. This is the story of the women and children of Haile Selassie and what happened to them after the Derg took over govt. 3/5

Its the story of the singer who got elected to Uganda's Parliament and then ran for President to help unseat Museveni, whose been president now for 37 years. The director had to flee after the film was made and is seeking asylum in US. He begged audience to protect democracy because once an authoritarian gets elected, its near impossible to get them out! 2/5
