This is a multi-headed nāga at Chiang Dao Temple, Thailand. #Nāgas are water #spirits, guardians of treasures, divine, or semi-divine, race of half-human, half-serpent beings that reside in the #netherworld, and can occasionally take human or part-human form. These serpents have sometimes five or seven heads. In Thai #folklore it is believed that one can find Nāgas in the depths of the Mekhong River and all rivers.
