He defeated rookie sensation Hakuoho (11-4) in a quick match where the prodigy, known for his defensive footwork, slipped early.

The Rhino, Hokotofuji (12-3), forced a playoff, handing a dejected Nishikigi (10-5) his 4th loss of week 2.
