What I learned from a Myth Busters episode with crab fishermen, is that taking a 20 minute nap every 6 hours helps with mental clarity when you don't get enough sleep.
Not 30 minutes, not 15 minutes - 20 minutes.
And it doesn't even matter if you fall asleep; just lying down and closing your eyes for 20 minutes will make you feel refreshed and less fuzzy in the head.
This helped me so much when I was dealing with insomnia.

Ever take a nap, perhaps for 5-20 minutes around 9:20 PM, while sitting at your desk, where when you wake up, like every joint and muscle in your body, apart from the ones required for circulation and breathing, has relaxed to the point you practically feel like you can't move, but you are the most comfortable you've been since, well, since the last time you napped like this?
