#NappyKnolls is not happy that’s it’s -26 out or whatever. I’m gonna walk on my treadmill to warm up. Then I’m gonna make a homemade pizza for dinner to run the oven. Probably gonna need to waddle to #BigM for fixins. But that’s only like ten foot outside.

It would cost me about $800 to convert #NappyKnolls to #SmartThermostats that I could control remotely. Not sure it would be worth it. Would I ever save that much money? But after this bitter winter I’m considering it. I’d mostly like a feature - which I assume exists - whereby thermostats sense when I am more than five miles away and would turn the heat down. And then back up when I am in range. I do this manually now. But it’s a drag to come home to a 50 degree hut.

I’m driving to the #Bakery today. Because I haven’t left #NappyKnolls since last Friday and I’m about to lose my ever lovin’ mind. #StirCrazy Shaving, showering, and putting on pants periodically is good for my chi. Also mildly wondering if my car is still there. Forecast is mostly trending toward nicer with lots of wind. I’m not in a hurry and slow is fine.

I'm planning on staying late at #Bakery tonight because my neighbors are having a holiday gathering right outside #NappyKnolls door. It would be impossible for me to politely not participate if I were home. Did I tell you guys how I think I stumbled upon some type of cult meeting they were having down by the garage one night? I went down there to toss my garbage, and there was a group gathered with folding chairs.

#NappyKnolls is cold and drafty as hell. But at least I have electricity. What a blessing! Just a few days of this terrible cold and we are back to normal winter temps by mid-week-ish. My windows are definitely on the shit list.

When I lived at #ShadyPines I was up and down the stairs every half hour at times - like someone with OCD and an oven - checking on my sump pump to make sure all was well. Such a device sounds dreamy! I don’t have a sump here at #NappyKnolls, but the device caught my eye nonetheless.

This may sound odd, but having a three foot drift of snow against my windows seems to have had an insulating effect. #NappyKnolls feels cozier. #GetIntoIt #ClimateChange
