Precious few #screenshotsaturday left before release on #steam! This whole #indiegame dev journey has been tough. Would we do it again? Yes! But we'd consider more carefully the next project for sure. We probably went to #narrativegame heavy this time for a first #game. And even #pixelart is hard to keep up with when you need alot of it!

I love the transparent mechanics that give a sense of urgency - but without overwhelming - and sense of progress and satisfaction for completing drives. I love turning quests into drives - this gives a better feeling of having choice and being in control of the story. I really like the writing, characters, and worldbuilding.

It was very odd and curious and sad, it had that gothic New England thing going and was more graphic novel in game form. There wasn’t much game to play or puzzles to solve really but it was wonderful nonetheless.

Hopefully I've learned from the experience though, so it's not quite as painful the second time around 😬

Testing out more of the game I'm making with my team, Solace State! #SteamDeck has a resolution of 16:10 but our game of 150,000+ words with text in 3D placements have been designed for 16:9. So we're seeing what sort of resolution challenges this might have!
