The North America Nebula, also ✨ NGC 7000 ✨. I captured it about a year ago using DSLR but decided to finally pull the trigger and get the narrowband filters.
These Sulfur-2, Hydrogen-alpha and Oxygen-3 filters allowed me to recreate the Hubble telescope color palette (as seen on the famous Pillars of Creation image).

Here's an interesting Astro photo I took of what is commonly known as the Elephant Trunk Nebula (about 2,400 light years away from Earth!). This was taken with a color camera using a dual-band narrowband filter and then I ran it through a star removal feature. It looks like a painting. Love it! The scale here is amazing - these dust clouds are enormous! A very active star forming region.

Some data I gathered from 2014, this is the "heart" of the Heart Nebula ( IC 1805 or Sharpless 2-190) A total of 7 hours H-alpha data here with stars removed. I think I wil have another go at this over winter and gather a better set of [OIII] and [SII] so I can produce a full SHO image. #astrophotography #nebula #photography #monochrome #narrowband #astrodon #astro #space

Here is my initial process of my SH2-124 data. 8 hours H-alpha, 7.5 hours [SII] and 10 hours [OII] mapped in the standard SHO palette. The star colours might be a bit off, I haven't checked them yet, but I'm quite pleased as how this came out considering how faint the [SII]/[OIII] channels were.
