Great news for campaigners for the National Care Service. ScotGov have accepted that centralising control of care under Ministers is a bad idea and have agreed that Local Authorities shall remain responsible for staff, assets and delivery of care.

And seeing the current debates about whether Scotland should have a #NationalCareService I remember Marjory had strong views on rehabilitation. She hated the modern rush to get people who've been in hospital straight back home ASAP. As a nurse she was of the opinion that many folk really benefit from having high-quality nursing care 24/7 during early recovery and convalescence. She thought that model helped reduce people boomeranging back into even more serious medical crisis.
