As Australia heads into bushfire season, which can cause power outages, those of us who rely on electricity to run essential medical equipment might want to think about buying a back-up battery that can be charged from mains power, and then be used to run
continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines or to charge essential equipment like power wheelchairs or mobile phones.

For people who have National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), you may be able to use your NDIS funding to buy a back-up battery to run your medical equipment.
