Celebrating the launch of Weaving Relations was the perfect way to spend National Indigenous Peoples Day. Congrats to my UBC colleagues in Applied Science and Land and Food Systems for putting this amazing resource out there.
"Weaving Relations explores Indigenous histories, people, and contexts, as well as settler colonialism in Canada, through the lens of Indigenous-Canadian relationships."

#NationalIndigenousPeoplesDay in Canada is a good time to remember Willie Dunn. One of Canada's lesser known brilliant singer/songwriters. Speaking truth to power all these years. We had a fourday weekend in the US for a Bank holiday (I prefer to call it #nationalindigenouspeoplesday ). And when I got back into the office the #NAS was offline. I go to the upstairs attic where I tuck it away, and the power cable is on the floor.
Closer look and I see somehow the output power socket was broken off inside the #PSU. I have no idea what happened but I like to think a #swole mouse was doing pull ups on the cable.

Fascinating read. But one thing kept coming up in my mind: why are people allowed to mine the permafrost? Isn't this a bad idea, climate change-wise? 🤔
