The Silence Dogood letters in the National Treasure movie are real.

Mrs. Silence Dogood was the pen name used by Benjamin Franklin, first used when he was a teenager, to get his work published in the New-England Courant.

The Courant was a newspaper founded and published by Franklin's brother James.

From today's webinar, how to write a secret message on paper:

Take a q-tip, dip it in lemon juice and write a message on paper.

Use heat (hair dryer/candle, but don't hold it too close) to reveal the message.
