Has anyone tried #Natron #FOSS? How does it compare to After Effects?

Anyone else have any recommendations of software for doing kinetic typography animations in Linux?

I haven't been animating for almost a year, and being me, I completely forgot how to use Enve (I don't retain unused knowledge, that's my 'superpower'. You say nobody does? Yeah, but I'm faster).
Took me a day to remember, including rewatching some tutorials, and make a bunch of animations for the channel and the video. Despite a few quirks, #Enve is wonderfully intuitive, at least for #Inkscape users.
Next is compositing. Before I bite into that pill, is there anything better than #Natron yet?

#FLOSS applications enabled me to finally dump #Adobe products for good. I use #Krita #Openshot #Inkscape and #Blender on a regular basis. I've done print design with #Scribus. Edited video effects with #Natron. I've streamed with #OBS. Proprietary software "standards" aren't standards at all. Just ask Adobe and Pantone users how those standards are working out. mastodon.social finally recovered! I'm trying to do some video editing right now and I'm using something called #Natron. I compared it with a proprietary software called #NukeVFX that's similar to it, and shockingly Nuke had a way better performance when previewing on the timeline. Fished a few more photos from last week out of my "big camera". Didn't visit any official "safari parks" but the landscape we were visiting is wild, and borders the Serengeti. There are no fences, and with the first meaningful rain for two years falling just the week before we arrived, the area was rich and busy with wildlife.

Special mention to the zebras, or "punda milia" (stripey donkeys) in Swahili, who were absolutely the stars of the show. 🦓🦓🦓🦓
