While I personally think that #Utilities and other #NaturalMonopolies should be #Nationalised; If we're going to have privatised utilities then I'd rather them work like this than as for profit businesses.

While that is a good abstracted "effect of fascism" the story is simple.

In the case of #theWest, the most fascism over the generations has stemmed from #banking and finance, but we see big #propertyDevelopers, BigPharma, #CAGEFAM and a MilitaryIndustrialComplex, as unwieldy and extremely dangerous bedfellows with govt.

Precisely, people will pay taxes for things that they see value in, yes. Things that are palatable. People will take a active role in what their government is spending their taxes on.

Unlike today.

With never-ending streams of funds going to grifters for often #uselessJobs, or jobs that would be #volunteer. There should be a #UBI, and a govt that manages #naturalMonopolies, preventing other monopolies from forming, and have protections for environment, health and safety.

Then there are monopolies that are removed from public scruitiny altogether (eg. Cloudflare). One main irony to us, is that that #FFFDotOrg link you posted is on a Cloudflare website, @lain, many social progress indicators have been or are going down especially since the 1970s.

Most thinkers seem to be on the page of #naturalMonopolies being managed by the ppl collectively - ie. govt and not by oligarchic corporations.

The term we've adopted is #naturalMonopolies and yes they do need to be govt, (ie. WeThePeople) operated. Eg. land registries, roads, water treatment, electricity grid, radio frequencies, immigration system, law courts, naturalResourceManagment etc.

Most definately capitalism is not corporatism. Most people get those confused.

Capitalism rewards sound, good investment and ideas. Corporatism rewards the "too big to fail", which are closest to the money spigot, and lobbyists like the transnational corporations.

Also capitalism doesn't mean #unfetteredCapitalism. Govt is can/should do #naturalMonopolies like roads, hospitals, schools, utilities, landTitle etc.

So although he's not black we can *again* see that the GreenParty deserve attention far beyond the "#corporateParty" of DemReps. We believe it's better to elect leaders based on policy anyway - regardlsss of their identity. GreenParty still have the best policies (of those parties we know of).

We see it as #corporatism (ie. so as long as #multinationals are producing an income for the 0.01% who don't work - then all is "well").
