At the , we are not only imaging our collections, we also do . Amazingly, the more we digitise, the more data we get, and we can even reconstruct travel routes.
E.g.; Oleg (bionomia.net/Q266663) collected in the "Kolahoi valley", , in 8/1956.
He started his travel from Pahalgam in the south, via Liddarwat (now a camping ground) towards a "pass" on 14422 ft. altitude where Polunin collected several plants.

This looks odd but if you consider that the collector might be French, then this sounds simply like "". Yes, the it's the same place where the famous club has it's name from, a suburb of , .

Curators are basically librarians for collectibles other than books. In my case, I take care of the plant collections of the .
Taking care means a lot of things. I digitise (database and image), repair, clean and update herbarium specimens.

Highly mobile & migratory species whose larvae abroad eat locust eggs but we are not sure what’s happening in the UK. The Adults just like the pretty flowers though 🤓 @NHM_London

Day 11 of : Remember

Minerals can preserve the memories of long dead organisms by replacing original tissue or by forming casts and moulds. Here the internal chambers of an ammonite have been replaced by calcite
