Since Doris started learning writing, reading and maths, her peak hour is right before she goes to bed. The energy is slow and her focus is sky high.

We received some new books for mathematics, reading and writing. She loves to do the tasks whenever she feels like it. Her reading and maths are pretty good for a 7 yo, especially if you think she only practises for 1 hour a week.

Finished the walls of the treehouse today. In the coming days it (hopefully) is gonna rain so we continue afterwards with the roof.

It is so much fun to work together as a family on this big project. We try to find little tasks that the kids can do while we do the big tasks. They both have big interest in working with tools like the drill, the saw and the hammer. #learningbydoing

Today I made a nice 4 km walk together with Doris and talked about all kind of things. About nature and people. About how some people have a door in their heart that is closed. About the night that she was born almost seven years ago. About the bursted soil and how dry it already is in this time of year.

When we came home she said she would like to learn stuff. I told her that she learned enough for today. But she told me she meant school stuff, not life stuff. :)

Small and bigger animals everywhere. Our kids love to play with ants or bugs. We see toads, snakes and lizards. Once we found a dead genet cat in a dry well. The curiousity and exploration of our kids is high when it comes to animals.

Our daughter Doris is a #nomad in here heart and soul. She always wants to explore and isn't attached to anything, she is free, unbounded in every way. She lives love and loves life. And she took the most awesome haircut last year!

Living off grid with kids was an amazing experience! Being in nature every single day by ourselves in our bubble.

Both our kids are curious and active in their own way. They like to help and join while we are doing stuff on the land. They go their own way to discover nature (insects, flowers, rocks).

Every day there is space to follow the flow of life. See what wants to be discoverd or learned. Simple, basic, earthly and free.
