SEAWEED. Another visual exploration arrived, this one about seaweed, the original plant. As with the ant book, there are some great explanatory graphics, especially about reproduction and cellular anatomy. Three main lineages (red, green, brown) instead of one for land plants. There’s a very cool discussion of endosymbiosis, or seaweed cells that engulf other cells (that further engulf other cells in the case of brown seaweeds).
