Impressionist salt
Dry garden of clear sand
And ripples of moist breeze

Distant ebbing tide
Brown belts, clear
White foam drowned
Chaotical deep blue tones

Striped grey skies, clouds
Calm waves at a distant horizon.

North Sea Glimpses

Languages of light stalk industrial ports,
Like nearby Milky Ways from afar.

Here, all calm and starlit,
The North Sea

Langues de lumière harcèlent les ports industriels,
De loin, comme des voies lactées toutes proches.

Ici, calme et étoillée,
La mer du nord

Lichttalen belagen industriële havens,
Als nabije Melkwegen van ver.

Hier alles kalm en sterrenlicht,
De Noordzee

Instead of a life not my own,
Prudish veils, torn clouds,
For the sun.

Seagulls flock soars
At the wind's signal,
Twinkling on mirrors
Off the long-gone tide.
