Oh come on, country website! Today it's from 🇹🇳, while yesterday we had its neighbour Libya. OK then! one of Tunisia's biggest genres is Malouf, but I've shared that the first time we did Libya, so let's go into new genres.
This is دارت الايام(Daret Layyem; "and the days passed") by Nawather; a band formed in Tunis in 2013. The could best be described as or metal, since it incorporates , electric /s, and , but also Arabic /s such as , , and in a rather tasteful of styles. The lead is nicely while the metal vocals, which we only get briefly, add an edge, but aren't over the top. FYI this was the first time I've heard metal vocals using Arabic. Their overall lyrical themes seem to be , , , and struggle.
