He died in 1979, after his identity had been hidden by family and other collaborators since fleeing #NaziGermany. But he and other Nazis were hunted beyond the grave.

Today's Flickr photo with the most hits shows Wolfgang Pohl: he joined the Wehrmacht in 1942, and was imprisoned for military disobedience in 1944. He was incarcerated in the concentration / labour camp at Dora-Mittelbau. He survived until the liberation.
The second photo shows him and his family in 1951.

After the Allied Forces landed in Normandy on D-Day in 1944, and World War 2 was going badly for #NaziGermany , Hitler said to his top Generals “No one will make peace with me.” Erwin Rommel then told Hitler that if he was the obstacle for peace, he should resign or kill himself, but Hitler insisted on fanatical defence.
