1. The TOR pick is only top 6 protected which could be a pretty decent pick next year if Toronto continues to be mediocre.

2. The amount of second round picks the Spurs have right now is kind of ridiculous, but I guess there's not the same contractual obligations you get with 1RPs. You can just pick the entire Austin Spurs lineup and see which player becomes NBA material.

Holy crap. Sad Bridges and Cam are leaving Suns. Have loved watching these guys.

As someone who was disappointed by the return of the Kawhi-to-Toronto trade in 2018, zooming out and seeing what they've got out of it is causing me to reevaluate things.

DeRozan, Poeltl, and a protected first has become Keldon Johnson, a protected 1RP from CHI, another one from TOR, a 2RP-for-1RP swap that became Malaki Branham, and 4 second-round picks. That's honestly pretty good.

The rumors around my Tall Austrian Son Jakob Poeltl being traded all year has hurt my heart, though I totally get it because he is very good. I guess I don't know what the Raptors or Celtics would be willing to part with that the Spurs would want other than first round picks.

If I was the Spurs, I'd ask for Grant Williams in return, but I think Boston would say no.
