Just compiling up a version of NCBI Blast for use on a large node. Anyone know why it looks for Boost/LaPack/GSL but doesn't require them? Will it be faster if I make them available?

#ncbi update: Genome submission completed all the checks and will be available at end of week. SRA submission...replace the one read file that is causing trouble...we'll see if it resolves.

#ncbi update: light at the end of the tunnel...assemblies are finishing processing and I'm one read file away from the SRA submission being done...assemblies will be resolved by the time I get home from visiting family for Christmas and the SRA probably will be too. :blobaww:

#ncbi SRA upload failed because I had extra files AND the preload folder was a different size than what I uploaded. This is a pain in the butt to upload 842 fastq files in one submission. #bioinformatics #microbiology

#ncbi SRA uploading is really getting on my nerves. I tried to complete my upload but the archive file it was seeing wasn't complete. I'm now trying to get it to recognize a new directory with the complete file. I'm running out of stuff to try. #bioinformatics #genomics :blobono:

I don't like putting stuff on NCBI. I have the reads and assemblies for 274 E.coli isolates. Today I only got through the biosample table and am in the middle of the SRA metadata table in half a day. I haven't even started to deal with the assemblies. This could take me all week or longer. #bioinformatics #ncbi #tedious #paperwork #genomics
