No more unplanned bridge closures due to obsolescence in the future⁉️ As part of a joint project, #FraunhoferIZFP is working in the "ImaB-Edge" project to use distributed sensor electronics to make the #monitoring of #infrastructure structures efficient, predictive, autonomous and permanent. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research is supporting the project with 5.6 million euros.

When I still worked in #science in 2016/17 and was invited as a speaker to a #IEEE conference about #NDT the number one topic people ask me was "is germany really backing out of nuclear energy?".
