I took part in the second running of Goodness Gravel in Mogo on Saturday. There were three course options and I chose the middle one - 75km with 1600m of ascent.

The course was great - a well-marshalled route through the bush between Mogo and Nelligen. Some tough climbing in there too but with spectacular views.

I took my Specialized Roubaix with set of 32mm Panaracer gravel tyres. I had a pinch-flat puncture and a minor mechanical failure but, considering the terrain, the bike did well.

Riding with friends in a beautiful setting and challenging yourself. A weekend well spent.
