@Jdefoe That's good. It's definitely a nice tradition, and of course each country has its own unique spin on it. Here in #Japan, some people still send New Year’s cards (called #nengajo / #年賀状 locally) which the post office holds for delivery until #NewYearsDay. The only ones we get lately are from businesses that have our home address -- even my daughter and her high school friends exchange greetings by messaging app😅
