The eastern terminal block of Alexander 'Greek' Thomson's Walmer Crescent in Glasgow. Built in the late 1850s, this neo-classical style terrace is now mostly hidden behind an arcade of shops, making it hard to truly appreciate its magnificence.

Finnieston Free Church/Kelvingrove Parish Church, Kelvingrove, Glasgow.

Designed by James Sellars and built in 1880, this is a great example of Glasgow neoclassical architecture.

Number 10, Belgrave Terrace, Glasgow.

Built around the 1850s, this stunning blonde sandstone doorway is one of my favourite tenement entrances in the west end of the city (and yes, I know just how geeky it sounds to say I have a favourite tenement doorway!).

The McLennan Arch, Glasgow Green, Glasgow.

Originally built in 1792 as the entrance to the old Assembly Rooms on Ingram Street, this impressive neoclassical stone arch has been moved around the city a surprising number of times before being finally ending up at its current location in 1991.

Justiciary Courts, Saltmarket Street, Glasgow.

Built in 1814 in a neoclassical style from a design by the Scottish architect William Stark, this building is used by High Court of Justiciary (the supreme court of Scotland) when it is sitting in Glasgow.
