Why do seconds count?

now catalogs the exact second a photo was taken, not just hour and minute along with the date.

It turned out we have a lot of photographers here who use to catalog portraits and photos of sports events, and in such cases, a lot more than a single photo can be made in any minute.

There you have it. Seconds in the EXIF Capture Date!

We have discovered a problem in the place name search of the Map in .

The OpenStreetMap-Server that NeoFinder uses for this feature, has started to return a slightly different data reply format, which NeoFinder did not recognize.

We have added code to NeoFinder today so that this will work again.

Yet another massive example on how to extend the power of with !

This time, we provide a search and replace tool for metadata fields.

For example when your CEO spontaneously decides to change the company name from "Amazing Inc." to the boring (sic!) but new name "Xyz Inc.", and you must replace the Copyright text in all photos immediately.
This can't simply be done by just overwriting that field in all files with the XMP Editor in the Inspector of NeoFinder, as the Copyright string may be very different for each file, like "Copyright by Amazing Inc. 2021" or "© Amazing Inc. All Rights Reserved" or such.

Q: Can catalog files?

A: Yes, NeoFinder is able to get you a thumbnail of the 3D printer STL (Standard Tessellation Language) file, if you ask it to do so.

Open the DatabaseSettings and add ".stl" to the "Catalog QuickLook Thumbs for" list. Write the settings, and catalog a folder of STL files.

8.4 has improved the Find Duplicates options by allowing you to search for file names ignoring their suffixes, which would consider files named "IMG_1234.NEF" to be identical to a file named "IMG_1234.JPG", for example.

But then Ivory and the Mastodon web server still need to read these fields, too.

It would be nice if the IPTC metadata standard would be supported...
