You read manga so often that when you come to read a Marvel comic, you end up reading the panels the wrong way round, and for the first couple of pages, you're left wondering why the narrative is so disjointed ..... And then you figure it out. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Alright, so years ago, I wrote a Python script that pulls down a dad joke from icanhazdadjoke.com, and emails it to my SO at work, once a day.

Then, I completely forgot about it.

She reminded me that it's still going, and she's still enjoying it. The problem is that I can't remember which computer that script is running from, and I can't find it.

I have an occasionally overwhelming desire to convert all RS-232 interfaces in my dev/lab environments to RS-485... and access them via a MODBUS TCP gateway.

Today I get to spend the morning upgrading my firewall. I spent money on a commercial device so I wouldn’t have to get down in the weeds, but evidently the version I bought came with the EFI boot partition set too small to run the update. A big part of being a #nerd is never having enough content. I've just exhausted the list of Spider-Man video games that exist on PC, except for Miles Morales because I can't afford it yet, and I still want more.

In spreadsheet hell. Someone decided that an embedded html table in the first cell of this row would be a neat idea. It is not. Nothing about this is normalized and its taken me all day to undo this for 3k records to make it usable. If anyone knows how to tease about multiple <td> tags into columns, I would love you to pieces. #data #nerdproblems

I like how the quality of my #SuperShotgunSaturdays posts are increasing with each week. The ultrakill post used online gif converters and compressors, the Quake post used ffmpeg, but is 10fps. Future posts will be 24! Just need to figure out how to get smaller file sizes...

I’m looking for a cute bluetooth keyboard and the thing that makes it so difficult is I want fun aesthetics, but legit functionality.

Like I love the whole #Kawaii vibe, but I’ve noticed in review videos, the girls who enjoy that aesthetic are not also #nerds 😂 so they aren’t often as focused on the technical aspect of the technology. I need both! #nerdproblems

Somewhat unrelated to my #nerdproblems but I seriously DETEST Propresenter as a presentation software. It's bulky, expensive, and breaks constantly. If I ever start my own church, I'm definitely not paying that much money for a hobbled together piece of junk software.

Like, why did a user profile disappear? Why did the wifi window turn invisible in every place EXCEPT the login screen? ALL I DID WAS CLONE A HARDDRIVE. I shouldn't have this many problems cloning a drive!

I tried to do a nice thing for the church (HDD to SSD) and every step has gotten more and more broken. I'm to the point where I just wanna cry. Why?! I have cloned drives before without this many issues! I feel cursed!

Recovery of the drive didn't work because I couldn't figure out what I needed to recover. I need to recover partitions and they weren't organized by date, but size and type. There were too many and I didn't know which one I needed.

Gonna try to clone the whole thing all over again and hope that works........
