@ne1for23 @Cloudscout I’m reading the icom docs :) dammit I’ve been #nerdsniped. The 13 pin port on ICOM devices is an accessory port for all sorts of hookups so it would be plausible for controlling a radio and sending / receiving data even over it.
I have to be up in 5 hours to catch a flight but instead of sleeping, I'm noodling with #ImageJ scripts to detect soil boundaries.

Well, I didn't expect to get #nerdsniped by a 8 thousand year old piece of technology today
#Amphora are fucking cool, they were like the modern day shipping container of their time. Standardized, used for both liquid and solid cargo, and easy to carry and secure on standardized mounts.
Let alone being an impressive feat of #pottery to make
Compiling toy #ProgrammingLanguages is all fun and games, until you have to mangle umpteen overloads of 'print' or need to figure out what 'NF_' corresponds to.
Of course, there's always #Punycode. However, that's optimised for DNS and therefore case-insensitive, and in addition cannot represent punctuation (so no 'print(string):int' for you).
So yes, I got #NerdSniped into designing my own generic symbol mangling scheme, funycode: https://github.com/irdc/funycode

Just got #nerdsniped trying to solve a physics problem my son brought home for 2 hours. It’s deceptively simple like all good nerd snipes.
y'all ever get absolutely #nerdsniped so hard by a random YouTube video that kinda looked neat?

Oh goodness, I appear to have #NerdSniped myself.

Pop quiz: if a group is 35.7% of the population but accounts for 93% of the COVID deaths, what’s the ratio of the death rates in that group to the rest of the population?
I #nerdsniped myself with this question yesterday and went down a bit of a 🐇 🕳️ : https://rkurchin.github.io/posts/2022/11/populations
Some semi- #bayesian philosophizing to kick off your #thanksgiving break…

Reading https://www.warp.dev/blog/why-is-the-terminal-input-so-weird might give you the impression you can't handle mouse input in the terminal. But check this out:
emacs -nw --eval '(xterm-mouse-mode)'
The article isn't wrong, but I'd argue it's not exactly right. TUI apps can absolutely handle mouse clicks to position your cursor.
