Has anyone else noticed an abundance of honeydew this year? When I rode into work through Nether Edge, this morning, I thought I had a puncture, but it was just the amount of honeydew on the road making my tyres stick and sound flat! I thought what is the point of honeydew from the tree's perspective? It is wasteful of photosynthesis products and can't do them any good. Then I read up, it's secreted by insects that are essentially messy eaters...... #honeydew #sheffield #netheredge
