I have chronic sinus issues. I use of a neti pot daily. One would think that it would be easy to find a 304 or 316 stainless steel #netipot for sanitary purposes. There is only one that claims to be, sold by various distributors, but it is definitely not stainless steel. It is not ferromagnetic. I'm on a wild goose chase now to find or make one. So frustrating that we live in this #capitalist hellscape where everything must be subscription model, even damn neti pots.

Has to be a specifically good filter. I don't trust filters. I would only use sterile water.

My search for a very portable travel bidet turned up these. They don’t squirt very hard,^1 but they’re a reasonable compromise of portability, ease of getting clean water, and ease of use. Just make sure it’s screwed in well.

I then started on my search of a good portable neti pot solution, since I’ve taken to using one if I’ve spent the day somewhere with too many unmasked people.^2
And then I realized I’d already *found* the solution. Tested it last night. Works great! Thank dog they’re color coded.

1. My first experience with a bidet was in a huge shared (but lockable) bathroom in a hotel in Quito, Ecuador. I turned it on out of curiosity and the spray hit the ceiling! That was fun.

2. There’s evidence that saline nasal flushing can reduce Covid duration--so I figure I might as well try it as a “day after pill” type solution. No harm if not, and now I’m finding I sleep better after using it too.

Is there some trick to using a Neti pot that I'm missing? I use distilled water and the salt packets you can buy at CVS. I pour half thru one nostril and half thru the other. And it does nothing that I can tell. My husband says it gives him so much relief, he can feel/hear his ears and sinuses popping and gunk comes out, etc. But it has never done a dang thing for me, which is frustrating bc I know it works wonders for some folks! #NetiPot #Congested #Sick #Sinuses
