It will be essential that network providers regularly contribute to reporting on how #NetworkSlicing is currently deployed & its potential impact. Telecoms regulation must go hand-in-hand w/ consumer protection/enforcement of fundamental privacy rights.

Since the 1990s, CDT's been a strong advocate for #NetNeutrality, which have been essential for maintaining the diversity of services built on top of the internet + competition between large / small service providers.

Since then, new tech – like 5G mobile networks – are providing potential for new types of internet services, as well as opportunities for operators to monetize networks further. This change enables operators to engage in a technique called #NetworkSlicing.
