On reading a #university level textbook about #developmental #psychology - what concerned me (though didn't surprise me) was what research was actually missing.

The phrase "air pollution" wasn't mentioned once in the whole textbook. #AirPollution

As we improve our understanding of the #brain and find new methods for detection of #neurodevelopmental disorders, we will undoubtedly find that there are a lot more #undiagnosed people in the world. Not only will the population be #aging rapidly in the coming decades, but we'll likely see a surge in older people with a mental disorder diagnosis (I'm not referring to the natural cognitive decline)... but many will not.

Meet Dr Emily Warren, 1st author of new #OpenAccess paper from Dr Eric Morrow's lab at #BrownUniversity

They developed the 1st lab model of 17q12 deletion syndrome, a copy number variant disorder associated with #neurodevelopmental disorders and #RenalCysts and #diabetes syndrome. The #MouseModel recapitulated many features of the human disorder & will be used to guide #clinical & #mechanistic studies

I'm a postdoc in developmental psychology at the University of Basel studying #cognition, #gait and #motorskills with #EEG

Much of my research is centered around improving the understanding of #neurodevelopmental conditions and their co-occurrences, especially #ADHD and #DCD / #Dyspraxia
