My 15-yr-old is neurodivergent with low thresholds for cringe, conflict, and second-hand embarrassment. Can make game playing a mine field. The Tribbles board from Star Trek Super-Skill Pinball, for instance, is too stressful. He'll only play Starfleet Academy.

Yesterday, I taught him Walking in Burano and he's willing to play again. I think the aesthetic helped. Also the win. He won by 8 points (and I only made one kind move in his favor).
