Annals of Annoying Stepsiblings

Neuroscientists: [Going about their business]
Neurophilosophers: “You’re doing it wrong.”

Will either group be the first to explain why, as I dance this Friday, I hope Marlene Is also dancing on the other side of the globe?

- or the brain's lack of discipline

1. Discipline: What is Neurophilosophy?

The subtitle of this essay "the lack of discipline of the brain" refers to a book by the medical doctor and philosopher Georg Northoff: "The brain without discipline. What now, Mr. Kant? On the trail of consciousness with neurophilosophy. (2012)", which deals with the question of how the spirit gets into the bottle or rather into the brain.

"Our primordial brains don’t have to hold us back

While the human brain presents primordial predispositions, carried through millennia of evolution, it is also incredibly malleable and plastic. Rather than painting a grim picture, we should think of neuroscience as a discipline that can help us overcome roadblocks in our societies."

Struck by this description by James and Husserl and others of how experiences recede into the past like a spatial dimension.
Is this experience general to the human experience or is it maybe a consequence of their culture?
Curious to know if phenomenologists outside the European tradition describe things the same way?
