I suspect that #intermittentReinforcement is one of the most disastrously exploitable revelations in #neurosciene . It's an eminently reliable formula for cultivating #addiction. We now have entire industries dedicated to exploiting it to the dire detriment of vast swaths of the population.
And nothing is done about it, because the victims are blamed for their own exploitation rather than their enthusiastic exploiters.
Fuck anyone who defends #exploitation like this.
