so far my ideas range similar to the old one (but tuned harder into a theme of second-best-in-slot where like the best of something costs more than i am ready to spend, so what's the _second_ best option)?

In 2019, Gina Rippon published The Gendered Brain, demonstrating that human brains do not show a fixed gender pattern form birth, but remain plastic throughout life. One of her goals was to combat "neurotrash," the use of information and imaging to promote pseudoscience.

Also, speaking as a male in the helping professions, this is totally my experience. I had to take the MMPI at one point during my accreditation process, and I tested out of normal range on gender role. Wait, I said, I have an abnormal reading on the MMPI, that's bad right? Nope, the psychiatrist said, that's normal for men in the helping professions.
