An alternative to #Electron, not based on #Chromium and #NodeJS. Neutrinalo uses the existing web browser library in the operating system.

What are your #lisp projects for Sept.-Dec. of 2022?
I work on my Udemy course [0] (error and condition handling chapter with lots of practical examples),
I plan on releasing my new web app to the desktop with #Electron #electronjs (or #neutralinojs, good but less featureful).
[0]: here's a coupon for Sept: https://www.udemy.com/course/common-lisp-programming/?couponCode=I-LEARN-LISP-202209 thanks for your support!
#lisp #electron #electronjs #neutralinojs
I built a standalone #lisp web app AND I was able to run it with #neutralinojs 🥳 (a ligthweight Electron alternative) That's a path towards more lisp apps for the desktop!

Been messing with #vpn stuff on #linux lately, but find that everyone in the linux world wants you to use the terminal still. So I made some simple UIs for #wireguard and #expressvpn using #NeutralinoJS.
Linux just needs more GUIs that are simple and useful. It's nearly impossible to bring someone from #windows and ask them to work in the terminal for such simple things.

Been playing with #NeutralinoJS and it’s really quite good. Think Electron, but lightweight. I’ve made a couple of simple GUIs for enabling, disabling, and checking the status of my #wireguard #vpn, and #expressvpn. Up next is initial configuration for each.
