#NeverFadingDad has passed comment on most of his co-passengers. All they do is network and talk about money. He said, and he doesn't swear, "it's bloody boring". I feel very proud today.

After a few days of total misery, which included missing the Antarctic and Falklands part of the cruise (which, let's face it, was the whole point), things are finally looking up for #NeverFadingDad. They're docked in Port Stanley at the moment, and, while he's not allowed onshore, he is allowed on deck so he can at least take pictures to prove he was there.
I still think he should complain, mind.

#NeverFadingDad sounds in a bad way. And there are no strepsils or throat sweets. And to add insult to injury someone from the navigation deck keeps piping up on the intercom and telling people to look at the glaciers and icebergs. Absolutely lousy timing

Latest update on #NeverFadingDad's position. Although he's sailing, not flying. He'll be at Punta Arenas tomorrow evening.
It's getting bloody cold, apparently. He was saying it's a bit weird after being in the Atacama Desert.

So this is where #NeverFadingDad is today. Off on a tour to see active volcanoes and fjords. Geology heaven.

OK, so #NeverFadingDad and I have both had an aggravating day. He understood, correctly, that he was supposed be at his departure point for the tender to the city 10 minutes early. So he was there 15 minutes early, only to be told that the tender had already left and he'd missed his chance. Apparently in the small print it says for tenders you have to be there half and hour early. Why the Actual FUCK is that in the small print and not in LARGE LETTERS at the beginning??!?

#NeverFadingDad went to a talk on Chilean lapis lazuli today. His professional geological opinion was 6/10. Apparently the speaker was the local expert on the gemstones, but Dad reckoned this guy failed his first-year mineralogy course. 🤣
People keep asking him about climate change and continental drift and all that stuff. I'm very frustrated on his behalf that he can't give a talk on it.
Anyway, ukelele concert this evening, so that'll be a joy

#NeverFadingDad was annoyed today because he was telling another passenger about meeting a street performer and juggling with him, and some arsehole who was walking past said that that was a "stupid thing to do". I'm flabbergasted that someone could be that fucking unpleasant for no reason.
