I read an accurate, meticulous, deep and brutally harsh critique of my story. I second guess everything, from the story to my audacity for trying to write it. Despondent, I turn to my favorite mentor. I open #NeverWhere to a random page... and all my friends are here... weak verbs, adverbs, cause and effect... all on the first half of page 329.

Deep breath. Open editor. Get to work.

@W99 @TheTweedmeister Yup, a British #DresdenFiles #TTRPG? I like that it‘s not like #WoD … As I understand the game so far, it's really more #UrbanFantasy and not so overemphasized dark and mean. The author may disagree with me, #DresdenFiles #Neverwhere I think I recognize in its #DNA. It‘s a fun read so far. Sometimes difficult topics like diversity are integrated skillfully and credibly. The art (direction) is intriguing. Enjoy. I‘m looking forward to the adventure collection…

@whattheceej @neilhimself I loved the books #americsngods but found the tv series a bit of a hard slog at times. #neilgaiman pls redo #neverwhere. The campy kitschy series in the 90s did not do it justice.

@nitpicking @neilhimself I’m torn. I’ve been anxiously awaiting the sequel to #Neverwhere, #SevenSisters, for YEARS and I know there are a few more in my future. But I absolutely adored the film adaptations of Good Omens, Sandman, and American Gods…and I’m not sold that anyone but @neilhimself could have gotten them SO RIGHT.

@rmiriam I know Peter Capaldi as Malcolm Tucker in #TheThickOfIt is an easy go-to, but it really is my very fave! (Honourable mention: He is also great as the Angel Islington in #Neverwhere.)

@ablueboxfullofbooks 100% #Neverwhere. It's the one I keep coming back to in all its forms. I used to teach it in a unit on fairy tales and popular culture. And I've always wanted to teach it paired with Wizard of Oz.

Coraline might be a close second for me. "Something very old and very slow" is such a perfect description of eldritch evil.

Super difficult question : What is your favorite #NeilGaiman’s book ?

I think my personal favorite is #Neverwhere . Read it years and years and years ago. Still in awe . Incredible world building. Incredible story. Incredible characters.
