Is there a hashtag for people to follow/include in toots if they are new to #Mastodon? If not, I suggest #new2mastodon - vets can tag all their newbie advice posts and rookies can have their first hashtag to follow. @donmelton has inspired this toot, BTW - my advice would be for everyone to follow him...at least until they've followed enough folks to fill up their home feed. Don will keep it relatively full and varied in content until you settle in and decide how/where to engage.

Your easiest way to give anyone a link to your new Mastodon home is as a URL. Use https to your home server and add your username with a /@, like so:

https://techhub.social/@kpmitton

They will get your profile right with their web browser.

Also, use this URL right in your Mastodon search window to find their Mastodon account for subsequent clicking to follow them, no matter if they are on a different server than you.
