Is there a way to migrate instances on Pixelfed like we can on Mastodon?

Is there a way to post toots visible for the local and federated timeline and hashtags but not to people who are not logged into the Fediverse? "Public" to the Fediverse but not actually public so to speak?

How can I edit a post after it’s already tooted.

Newbie question: if one of my followers switches instances, are they removed from those I’m following? I get multiple follow requests from ppl I thought I was already following 🤔 My concern is that I also get a lot of bots, so I don’t wish to inadvertently follow a bot. But then I also don’t wish to ignore someone I’d want to follow. Follow me for more overthinking content of this nature. 🙄

For anyone just joining: I highly recommend making an introduction post and and using lots of hashtags so that people can find you! (Remember, there’s no global text search, only hashtags for opting in to discovery)

Q. What is the best way to filter out crossposts of retweets on here? It's frustrating to see a long list of unclickable links.

If I set a filter for 'RT' (which I see added to those crossposts), will that work? Or will that simply filter out any word containing those letters (e.g. 'heart')?

Boosts are great, they are powerful, they are the lifeblood of Mastodon, but I would sometimes like to see only what a particular mastodonian has posted on their own, without their boosted toots. Is this possible, perhaps with some setting or filter that I haven't discovered yet?

Is there a way to post to just a #mastodon instance?

Right now it’s public, followers, or mentions. A lot of times I think about posting, but I don’t because I don’t want to crowd the public feed, as I think it’s more relevant to the instance I’m on.

@feditips has some great posts, but I haven’t seen this mentioned.

#NewbieQuestion Is there a way to set the privacy of a post to only those people in a list you've created? Or is there a way to post to a group of people without listing them all?

Is there a way for people I follow to see that I'm "favoriting" posts that they've boosted (or conversely, a way to know if my followers are "favoriting" posts that I've boosted)?

I can see the argument for not sharing that information (people shouldn't be favoriting just for engagement), but accounts that make the effort to curate insightful otherwise high-quality posts provide a valuable service, and it would be good to be able to show my appreciation.
