As encouraged by our fantastic mods…time for #introductions

I’m a web developer working remote from Tamworth NSW (Aus) for a Sydney based company. Current tech stack is #Ruby on #rails with some node (both #javascript and #typescript). We have some #reactjs front end but I am not all that involved with that side of things at present - likely to change.

Outside of work I play the snare drum in a Scottish pipe band. I love reading about ancient history, especially #AncientRome and #AncientGreece. I’m also learning about #stoicism and finding this a positive benefit in my life.

I love watching sports, in particular #nrl and #aleague. Teams are #NewcastleKnights and #NewcastleJets

I am trying not to be political online anymore - it just makes me sad.
