Thinking about getting a second cat, to keep my first cat company when we're not home and have as a playmate. I read up on it, seems the best chance of Yeti getting along with a new cat would be if we got a female kitten. My aunt knows someone who's fostering kittens now. But... There's still a chance I could do everything the right way and they won't like each other anyway. I would feel awful for putting two cats under stress for nothing 😟

Well after a quiet second night of leaving the gate open, we decided to remove the gate entirely. Then we went out for a short walk, the cats did not appear to fight in our absence. Fingers crossed a detente has been reached.
