Anyway, #NewConstantinople probably won't happen as is, but it was fun working on it and I might repurpose it later for something else (a game maybe, IDK)

Anyway, I did the New Constantinople City Library a few days ago, but then I was struck with inspiration to do a sort of service map for the library.

Day 21 of #city23!
A bit later than normal, but let's get to it 😁

Legend Media is #NewConstantinople's largest media company, and although it is best known for its newspaper and 24/7 televised news coverage, it also runs a radio and a recent streaming service called L+.

Main offices and the newspaper are run from Marduk Tower but Legend Media also runs studios for film and radio elsewhere in the city.

Day 20 of #city23!!!
20 days already! How about that?

Marduk Tower is the second of three towers to be featured that form the so-called Trinity Towers.

It was designed by Winslow Caul, like the other two, and houses the city's major media company (yet unnamed).

When Marduk himself demands a massive statue of himself to be placed inside the tower's lobby, can the PCs build a statue and somehow make it fit?

Day 19 of #city23!
Birthrights are gifts from the Gods to their Scions but can also represent tools and connections acquired through Fate(TM) and Legendary deeds.

Relics are objects and tools that have supernatural properties, either granting access to power or straight magical benefits.

Key to the City is one such Relic. It may appear as a fancy key to most people, it allows Legendary beings (like Scions) to open any locked door in the city.

Day 18 of #city23!
AURUM's founder, owner, and CEO is a Scion of Ares named Julien Victor. Julien has never confirmed that he was made from bronze and given life by Ares, but he has never actively tried to hide it.

That, and him being nigh invulnerable, has given him the nickname 'Man of Bronze'.

Julien has bad luck with relationships though, which can cause problems in his work, especially when his relationships with Legendary beings end badly.

AURUM Securities is a security firm with its main office in Jupiter Tower. Although it focuses on preventing security breaches, its operatives also receive special training in retrieving stolen property and kidnapped clients.

Day 16 of #city23!

The Metro Imperium is the legendary secret society that everyone seems to know about but nobody seems to believe exists. It is said to run the city behind the scenes, suposedly.

The rich and famous and powerful are said to be members, but that has never been confirmed.

What is known, by some at least, is that it has Mayor Ames on edge and she wants to know if it really exists, or so they say.

Day 15 of #city23!

Jupiter Tower is one of three towers designed by Winslow Caul that form the so-called Trinity Towers.

It houses some notable offices and firms, such as the well-known lawfirm, Thompson, Wright & Fernandez.

Day 14 of #city23 features Winslow Caul, the city's famous architect who died mysteriously in late 1930s.

Caul became famous for his mastery over geometry and helped shape the city with buildings such as Roma Circus, the Trinity Towers, private homes, and more.

His home was even transformed into a museum to honor him.

Few if any know about the deal he made with the Elder Gods, or what the real purpose of his designs is

Day 13 of #city23!
Another district of the Nova Roma borough, Winslow has much of its borough's charm but exhibits more influence from the early 1900s. The district appears more in art deco style, with tall buildings looming over the streets below.

The district was named after #NewConstantinople's famous architect, Winslow Caul, who helped shape the city with his unique rendition of art deco and mastery over geometry.

#City23 progress report, day 12 📖

#NewConstantinople City Library prides itself of having a large collection of ancient and out-of-print books and tomes and volumes. It has sparked questions of how these books were acquired or where they rightfully belong.

Although the largest library is in Nova Roma, it also operates a few smaller libraries in other boroughs, which share database and books, save for select books that are only accessible at the main building

#City23 progress report! Day 11 🏢

This is a long one and describes the Train of the Dead (or Underworld Express, that sounds jazzy)
The train arrives at Roma Circus station at unknown times at unknown platforms, and only allows passengers with special tickets to enter (received upon death)

Although it only admits the dead, urban legends of the living entering the train usually end badly. Getting your hands on a ticket could get you into the Underworld

Ten days already? Time to introduce a Denizen to the city!

Denizens are mortal, yet not-entirely-human inhabitants of the World, like centaurs or kitsune. Alistair Wright is one such Denizen, a cynocephalus to be exact, so he has the head of a dog but an entirely human body.

He is also a partner in the lawfirm Thompson, Wright & Fernandez (see his name there?) and has made quite the name for himself, although not always trusted.

I set out with the mindset that I wouldn't include fascism in my #city23 project but to be honest I've already included implied racism and classism in some entries 🤔

I'm not really the right person to say how close I am to the line, or if I have even crossed it, but I'm going to make extra effort to not base plot around subjugation and mistreatment 💚

Day 9 already!
Thompson, Wright & Fernandez is a prestigeous law firm in my #city23 project, but also a cult devoted to Shamash, the Annuna God of the Sun, Truth, and Justice. Although their clients can worship whomever, everyone working at the firm must also join their cult (it's in the contract)

Thompson, Wright & Fernandez specialize in corporate law, but may accept other cases for special clientel
