The wetlands were fantastic. A beaver moved in a couple years ago, which has really helped to keep this area from drying out during out droughts. If you look close in the third photo you can just see the beaver rounding the corner.

I posted Red Eft photos yesterday. On the same hike I also ran across what I think is a Red Eft starting to transition into the adult stage. First photo is a Red Eft for comparison. Second photo it looks more business, er, newt like. “:^)

I never expected to find such a variety of wildlife under our camper with the camera: skunk, possum, porcupine, couple cats, many mice, bunch of birds, and an ermine.
