I'm on Week 7 as a #NewMastodonian and it's great.
If I may pass on the advice I received:
There's no algorithm, so use plenty of hashtags - you can search by them;
Do ask for help - there are good people here. Use "#MastoHelp" or similar.

I've seen on a few #bios that 'posts are deleted after 3 months' or similar.
Is this considered good practice for reasons of #instance server space?
