I’ve been struggling lately with the concept of #workism and the impact it’s had on my life. As a #newmom, I want to spend time with my #baby, but feel guilty because I should be working. The reverse is also true. #momguilt is quite real and #society is complicit in abandoning #mothers.

At what point do we end it? When are we allowed to draw the line and say “no more?”

Eh, it’s #teatime now. Then back to work to prep for the week.

Sometimes you have a massive falling out with your college bff and don’t talk for years and then slowly rekindle over the course of your 20s and then have babies at the same time and then rent an Airbnb in the berkshires for your new little families to hang out together 🥺😭🥰 #newmom #adviceformyyoungerself

For breakfast this morning, Paul ordered in a McDonald's breakfast. He'd promised me one after I'd finished giving birth. Why? Well, for me, a McDonald's breakfast is something I always indulge in when I'm getting a morning train back from Paddington to Truro. I think symbolically for me, it's like a representation of finishing one grand journey (which, for me, any trip to London usually is) and then going back to the main journey that is my life... 1/
