At first when I wanted a new phone I wasn't looking for a big screen phone since I thought it would just be a hassle to use and I didn't think I needed a 6.7 inch display.

But after getting a 6.7 inch display phone, it really made me like using it and the content didn't feel crammed like on my old phone. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate so that is another added bonus.

In short, always give something a try before immediately saying "Nah, don't need it"

Alright, new phone. A #Realme C55. Not the most powerful device in the market nor the one with the best anything. But it works. I can run K9, Mega, Nextcloud, Newpipe and Pocket without a hitch. And I'm free of Apple's absurd restrictions. And most importantly, I can transfer my music files without that piece of garbage that is iTunes. Overall I'm currently satisfied. We'll see if that changes in the future.

So it's #NewPhone day in #HardOfHearing land over here. I upgraded to the #GalaxyS22 plus, and just learned it has the option to #caption phone calls.

Has anyone tried this? Does it even work? I imagine it's akin to YouTube auto generated #closedcaptions at best, which isn't much, but I'm still a little excited.

Also got it paired with my hearing aids, which I've never done solo before.

I dropped my Samsung Galaxy Edge 9 today and the screen cracked! I have dropped it a million times and it has never cracked. In fact, this has been the best phone I have ever had in my life with the best battery. I *love* this phone. I have had it almost five years.

It is time though. Samsung quit security updates on it. I have no choice. Now, can my cracked screen make it to Feb when they release the S22 5G or maybe I get something else? Any suggestions?

Thinking about switching from my fourth iPhone to android, since of all the little annoyances you accumulate after years with the same brand, the charger port inevitably failing to connect to cables, especially if your carplay functionality depends on it, is just the last straw (and I don't have 1500+ euros to spend on a phone)
